Three Quirky Quickies
The Power in a Sale
Doesn’t it just make your day when a huge sale happens?
I mean, you can get items for 10, 20, 30, sometimes 75% off!
How can that not get one all riled up?
I am proud to be a Shopping Guru, a Sale Snooper, a Deal Extraordinaire.
My friends say I have a massive problem.
But look at the bargain I found today.
Only $5 a pair, marked down from $50! That’s a 90% discount. (I know my math.)
I proudly bought the entire lot!
The only question is what will I do with 1000 pairs of men’s boxer shorts?
A Difficult Road Trip
Jason was all packed, gassed up, and ready to go.
His parents reluctantly agreed that he should take a gap year, enabling him to plan a road trip across the United States.
He saved his entire senior year and used money given to him for graduation.
After Day One, he realized his phone charger wasn’t working.
He was in a small town that only had one store. He bought the last one.
At the hotel, he plugged it in.
Nothing.
At 18 years old in 2024, there was nothing more to consider.
It was over.
He had to go home.
Zombie Logic
My name is Vanessa and I’m a zombie.
This isn’t an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, but I wanted to be upfront from the beginning.
I’m a babysitter.
Don’t fret. This is nothing to be alarmed of. I have excellent control over my brain-eating needs. Glen, my next-door neighbor, begs me to bring a kid home so he can savor a tasty, young morsel.
But, no. I stand my ground.
I eat only three brains a month. (Keeps the figure down.)
I also help parents out.
I have a strict rule.
I only eat the brains of the naughty children.

My favorite was The Power in a Sale. It reminds me of my grandfather, who when sent to the store for milk, came home with a bushel of apples. Why? The apples were on sale.
Man these stories are funny. The last one was a hoot. Great work as always Ms. Erica. Blessings. :)
