Three Quirky Quickies
A Chicken’s Life
Being a chicken ain’t easy.
Here on the farm, I have to wake up before the sunrises, thanks to Beauford. He thinks he’s “Rooster of the Year” because he’s the only male around.
Well. I don’t fancy him a bit.
My whole day I peck away at corn and worms.
My whole goal in life is to produce eggs.
I stopped laying ’em. So, now I eat extra food, given to me all the time.
I may be fatter and lazier, but it’s a relaxing life.
I’m sure they’re carting me off to the factory now for a special dessert.
The Secret Sauce
Aria and Wayne walked into the restaurant to celebrate ten years of marriage.
Their married friends dwindled to none by the 7-year-itch. Aria knew the secret to a successful marriage and shared, “Honesty. We tell each other everything.”
No, she wasn’t thrilled to find out he lost his job last year.
She also didn’t love that he constantly complained about her parents.
And it did get old when he said her cooking was worse than a negative five-star restaurant.
But as he flirted with his server girlfriend, she knew the secret ingredient to a lasting marriage — honesty.
A Thwarted Diva
I am so sick and tired of being called the Ugly Stepsister.
Before Cinderella became queen, I was considered a beauty. I won every pageant. I had a suitor every night. It was all about me.
Prince Charming was MY dancing partner. We were even finalists in Dancing with the Stars!!
And what is this about there being two ugly stepsisters? I am proud to say I am the only daughter of my gorgeous mother.
Evil indeed.
The most evil thing about her was her fierce style. I got her fashion sense for sure.
Cinderella ruined my perfect life. Hmph.
